San Diego is probably the most chilled out city that I have ever visited. I felt like we lost concept of time in a good way which is one of the reasons you go away to unwind and get away from your normal schedule.
There is so much to see such as; Balboa Park, the harbour, Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego Zoo, La Jolla, the beaches and there is plenty of shopping to delve into.
During my stay in San Diego I decided to opt for more style and as a city that boasts much culture, I decided to take my British stye across the pond and to embrace the warm weather it had to offer.
I decided to wear more glamorous day wear outfits by picking this monochrome bardot dress from Missguided teamed with a silver choker chain with a blue stone cut out in the middle and to make the outfit more daywear appropriate I styled my pale blue sunglasses from Topshop and black fringed sandals with the dress to encapsulate a modern 70s glamour.
I wore my H&M Loves Coachella cold shoulder top that has a tribal print at the front which is a relaxed boho look and I paired this against my denim skirt. This outfit could have easily fell into a borderline child teenager look, so I decided to toughen the look with some silver hoops, western belt and my gillie sandals which are so comfortable yet look a little quirky cool with a gold thick heel.
The thing about San Diego is that you can dress how you want and no one bats an eyelid because it’s got a real relaxed feel to it, but I wanted to be true to my own style by wearing quite simple causal looks and adding accessories to highlight the details of the look an dressing up is a big part of who I am. I enjoy creating new looks and having an individual style with hints of my British culture.
Travelling really lets you embrace a variety of cultural fashions and it’s a great opportunity to dress up and try looks you might necessary get a chance to wear in the english weather.
Have you ever visited San Diego, if so what did you think?
