Get In Line With Military

While shopping in Forever 21 I came across this khaki shacket. A military shacket is a great way to update your autumnal look.

I like how this shirt is quite sophisticated especially with its crisp look and structure. I decided to use the military shacket to update simple everyday and evening looks. Metallics are always a great way to spruce up your Autumn/Winter wardrobe and teamed with a khaki jacket it gives you that fierce edge that enables it to be classed as daywear appropriate and lets be honest it’s a bit Burberry inspired.

Military jackets offer a different option to cocoon coats and bomber jackets. I liked the look to have a bit of a winter garden theme, I wore my embroidered floral boots to make the look more true to my own style. I teamed my shacket with ripped jeans to inject the rebel and romanticism style ready to battle the colder weather.

I love that this season is really playing to the 18th century version of military that screams high fashion as opposed to the classic army style that we have seen time and time again.

You can always update your military staple pieces by opting for either khaki or navy and search for pieces that have that added character with red piping or buttons. You could always buy a simple khaki shirt, jacket or shacket and make the look more personal by adding some buttons, pins and sequins. However, if you are like me and enjoy quite simple lines with khaki then use accessories or wear different textures with it such as velvet or glitter metallic to pull in on other key statement styles.

Khaki can be quite a staple colour that compliments other shades such as white, cream, grey and black really well. As well as adding real style points teamed with different textures and lengths.
