Leaf Print and Red Details

I had seen this leaf print blouse in Zara a couple of months ago and for £49.99 I just had to say no, for now. I was adamant that this would come into my local Zara store and for a fraction of the price in the summer sale.

It was only last week, whilst waiting to meet my friend that I thought I’d go and pass the time  in Zara and to my surprise I found this blouse for just £19.99, but in a size medium. However, after trying the blouse on I realised that it was meant to be worn slightly oversized so the sizing was absolutely fine and in my opinion unnoticeable.

I also went home and ordered this red bag as I’ve been looking at it for weeks and knew I’d just love it. Yesterday, I wore my leaf print kimono blouse with my red bag worn as a cross body bag. I wanted the shirt to be really prominent so I decided to opt for some comfortable black high waisted skinny jeans from Topshop. I completed the look with my black mules from Next and my Vivienne Westwood pearl earrings to match the classy-ness of the buttons on the blouse and my suede bag.

I’ve also become quite obsessed with red lipstick as of late and I recently bought the Ruby Woo shade from Mac after trying it on at an airport two years ago. I’m usually one to wear a nude, dark purple or  deep brown lipstick but sometimes it’s refreshing to add a pop of colour and brightness to my looks and this lipstick ticks all the boxes for me to achieve these.

I’ll be wearing this look with boots during winter as the deep green detailing and touches of light green works well for different seasons and leaf print offers a great alternative to floral which is sometimes what I need.

The blouse is really good quality and the silky red buttons helps to make it look like a cross between Dior and Dolce and Gabbana,  in my eyes as it adds a touch of femininity and I think it will be a favourite piece in my wardrobe for years to come.

If you’re thinking about investing in a statement detailed blouse, then do it as the look can always be worn for a variety of events or even a more casual night out. Also red accessories and details will help you to bring your outfits to life and helps them to look more expensive.
