Direct Denim

I have toyed with this Urban Outfitters shirt for the last year or so. I have been so undecided about whether I should keep it or not but it wasn’t until a few months ago, when I actually tried it on again that I actually really liked it and the polka dots offer something alternative to the generic plain denim shirt.

I’m still not 100% sure on how to make the shirt work, but for now a classic  double denim take will work for a casual off duty look. I paired the shirt with some black denim jeans from Topshop and my suede ankle boots from ASOS and inevitably my silver hooped earrings had to make a return.

This look is quite put together, fitted and streamlined which is not my usual style. But, I’m learning that sometimes it can work and when the weather turns cooler this look will actually look more street style when paired with a longline coat and  block coloured cross body bag. Or maybe it just needs a beanie hat that has a feminine touch with some gem stones embedded along the front.

How do you wear double denim, come and share your tips with me, by leaving a comment either on here or on my Instagram account.
