After Vegas was booked last year, I knew I had quite a few months to start looking and planning my outfits – might be considered pathetic to some but I love, live and breathe fashion! This is important to me…
It was only really in late February that I decided to start putting some serious thought into my day outfits. I knew I wanted to go for more casual looks that were really girlie yet toughened up with accessories.
I only bought three new outfits for my day looks as I had bought quite a few bits for my holiday in the Dominican Republic last year. I decided to take my statement yellow Missguided low cut dress with a frilled hem as it comes with blue bold flowers and just screams ‘summer guurrrrrrl!’ What do you think to this look?
I decided to pack a cute boho playsuit from Boohoo as this is easy to throw on and is very comfortable. I vamped the look with some mustard fringed earrings ( New Look) to highlight the bohemian look and underline that 70s factor.
I packed my ‘netty’ (don’t know how else to describe it) white tank top from Topshop as it adds a bit of sass to any pair of shorts and in this case it was these geoprint and floral shorts from Topshop that needed a revamp. This look was more casual than my other looks for Vegas, yet it made an impact with the soft touches of grey and yellow.
I loved the cute 50s vibes that this Nastygal Combination outfit had, so obviously I had to have it! I actually ended up wearing the top with some blue culottes to play around with cuts and prints. The fact that it’s in a monochrome print means that I’ll be able to wear it time and time again together or as separate pieces. The frills makes it that extra bit feminine and touches upon the 50s era.
On one of my many attempts at holiday shopping, I came across this pink bardot linen dress from Topshop and I really liked the simplicity of the dress. I knew that I could wear some chunky sandals and minimal jewellery with it to create a cute off-duty look. This dress has an a-line fit and is the perfect ‘ I’m going for afternoon drinks’ outfit.
I invested in this spot print fitted skirt from Missguided and I loved the statement it makes whether you choose to wear black with it ( like I did) or a maybe even a pink or yellow top. I have a strong feeling it will be my ‘ go-to’ skirt this summer. I decided to wear all black, white and gold accessories to create a 90s Versace inspired look.
When you’re exploring Vegas you’ll soon realise that you’ve walked thousands upon thousands of steps, so it’s important to bring your style yet be very comfortable!
I’ll be sharing my Vegas night outfits soon…
