The Most Important A/W Investment

I’ve slowly realised that investing in a few good coats can totally revamp your whole style.

This year I’ve found myself wanting  to invest in a few statement coats. I now know how a coat can really transform your day to day look and your overall style for the colder months.

I have wanted a rusty burnt orange coat for about a year and after missing the opportunity to buy the perfect rusty tone coat from Topshop last year, I managed to grab this one from Primark for £25. I love the length and by opting for a longer style it actually makes me look a lot taller. The colour fits well for autumn but will also work well against other colours such as black, nude, white and other neutral palette hues.

I thought a leopard print coat would be a good investment for those times when I may be wearing a very plain outfit. I decided to wear a black polo and dark blue skinny jeans which is a streamlined look and the coat gives the look more of an edge and by wearing a very simple outfit it ensures that all the attention is on the coat. This was only £40 from New Look, which was another bargain I really could not afford to miss.

I also felt the need to buy a statement black pea coat so this Zara one was the perfect one with it’s military cut and gold buttons. I wear quite smart clothes to work and this just polishes the look off. The black coat also makes this yellow jumper pop  within this outfit and makes it look more on trend.
